VM Windows 2008 ne redémarre plus après augmentation de la taille disque

Suite à un problème d’espace disque sur une VM avec un serveur Windows 2008 j’ai effectué les taches habituelles :

– Arrêt de la VM

– Augmentation de la taille du vmdk. Soit par l’interface graphique en 4.0 soit avec l’utilitaire vmkfstool ( ex : vmkfstool -X 20G vm.vmdk )

– Reboot avec le CD d’acronis director pour augmenter la partition

– Reboot

…. Et Blam !!! 👿

Error it could not load WINLOAD.EXE. !!

Là on te suggère de booter avec un CD d’install de 2008 et faire une réparation ! Sauf qu’avec 2008 y a pas de réparation à proprement parler ! 😕

J’ai donc trouvé ce petit tuto sur le net qui a très bien fonctionné :

Still use the Windows Server 2008 install disk and follow the next steps:

Insert the install CD/DVD and press ANY key to boot from CD/DVD when needed
Choose « Repair the computer » (or something similar)
After selecting the OS, if it finds one, open the Command Prompt
Type DISKPART and hit [ENTER]
Type LIST VOLUME and hit [ENTER] (remember the drive letter of the CD/DVD which has as TYPE ‘CD-ROM’ or something similar)
Type EXIT and hit [ENTER]
Change to the drive of the CD-ROM
Type CD BOOT and hit [ENTER]
Type BOOTSECT /NT60 C: /FORCE /MBR and hit [ENTER] (this does assume the installation is on the C-drive)
Type BOOTREC /REBUILDBCD and hit [ENTER] (choose the YES option to accept what has been found)
Type EXIT and hit [ENTER]
Remove the install CD/DVD and reboot the computer

Magie ! La VM redémarre nickel ! 😎
